Employers' questions about a Polish course for employees
Employers most often ask about the invoice, lesson times, group size and how progress is monitored. In short: Pol-Langua issues a VAT invoice, lessons last 50 minutes and take place online during or after working hours, groups have up to 6 people, and the HR department receives a monthly report on attendance and progress. Teachers explain in Polish, English, Russian or Spanish. Is your question not here? Send it using the form – we will give you a specific answer for your team.
Formalities and billing
We bill a company course with a VAT invoice issued by the school's operator, PW MATYSART Michał Matysiak – an active VAT taxpayer.
Who is the party to the contract?
The party is the operator of the Pol-Langua school, PW MATYSART Michał Matysiak from Radom. You will find the full company details in the information about the school.
How do you set the price of the course?
We present the price in an offer after a conversation about your needs and after the level audit – it depends on the number of groups, the form (group or individual lessons) and the number of lessons. You can send an enquiry using the form at the bottom of the page.
Organisation of lessons
Lessons take place online on Google Meet, so the employee needs only a computer or a phone with a camera, a microphone and internet access.
Can lessons take place during working hours?
Yes. We schedule lessons during working hours, before a shift or after it – separately for each shift if the company works in a shift system.
Can employees study from one room at the company?
They can, but then a large screen and a good conference microphone are needed so that the teacher can hear every person. For pronunciation and conversation, a separate connection for each participant – even from a phone – works better.
How long is one lesson?
50 minutes. With shift work it is easy to fit it into a break between tasks or right before a shift.
Groups and levels
Groups have up to 6 people and we form them according to the level set in the language audit, not by department or nationality.
What about an employee who does not fit any group?
They study individually until their level matches one of the groups – or until the end of the course if they need a different programme, for example preparation for the B1 exam.
Can groups combine employees from different countries?
Yes. The shared language of explanation is Polish, English, Russian or Spanish – we choose the one the whole group understands.
Preparing the company for the course
The company prepares little for the course: a list of participants, a shift schedule and – with an industry programme – sample materials from the workstations.
What materials are worth giving the teacher?
Workstation instructions, health and safety signs, model documents the employees use (a schedule, a leave request, a shift report) and a list of internal names of zones and machines. The teacher selects vocabulary for the first lessons from them.
Should the shift manager know what the team is learning?
Yes. When a manager knows the phrases from the lessons and uses them on the shop floor, employees carry them over to everyday work faster. It is enough for them to look through the goals in the monthly report.
Progress and reports
Progress is shown by the monthly HR report: attendance, level, strengths, areas to improve and a goal for the next month. See a sample HR report.
Languages of explanation
Teachers explain grammar and instructions in Polish, English, Russian or Spanish – we do not give explanations in other languages. For employees from Nepal, India or the Philippines, English is usually the natural choice. People who do not know any of these languages learn using the "Polish only" method: short sentences, pictures, gestures and repetition, from the first lesson.
You will find a full description of the cooperation in our offer for companies, and the programme in the description of the Polish course for employees. Tell us how many employees you want to enrol – we will prepare an offer after the audit.
Frequently asked questions
Can I order a course for just one employee?
Yes. One employee studies in individual lessons, with a programme tailored to their job role and an HR report as for a group.
Who on the company's side should coordinate the course?
Ideally one person from HR who collects the schedule and receives the reports, and the team manager, who knows what the employees are learning in the lessons.
Can an employee continue learning after leaving the company?
Yes, as an individual student. They keep their study plan, and billing then passes to them.
Can the course prepare someone for talking to a client in Polish?
Yes. For office, reception and customer service staff, the programme covers phone conversations, emails and typical situations with a client.
Free team level audit, an industry-specific programme, a monthly report for HR and a VAT invoice.
