Polish course for foreign employees – built around the job, with a report for HR

In short

Pol-Langua runs online Polish courses for employees from abroad – in groups of up to 6 people or one-to-one, during or after working hours. We start with a free audit of the team's level, build the programme around job roles and the industry, and the HR department receives a monthly report on attendance and progress. We issue a VAT invoice for the course. Tell us how many employees you want to train – we will propose a date for the audit and a split into groups.

Why companies teach their employees Polish

Companies teach employees Polish because the language barrier is the problem most often reported when hiring foreigners. In a 2026 Personnel Service survey, 27% of employers named it.

In practice, the lack of a shared language shows up in everyday situations: an employee nods without having understood an instruction, does not report a fault because they do not know how to say it, and every HR matter has to be translated by a colleague. A course will not replace good management, but it shortens the road from "I don't understand" to working independently.

What the cooperation includes

This is how the cooperation works – from the audit to the invoice:

Stages of a company course and their results
StageWhat we doWhat the company gets
Level auditEmployees take an online test and the teacher analyses the resultsA summary of levels and a proposal for groups – free language audit
ProgrammeWe match topics to job roles: instructions, health and safety, documents, conversations with a supervisorA study plan for each group
LessonsOnline classes of 50 minutes, in groups of up to 6 people or one-to-oneA schedule adapted to shifts and working hours
ReportEvery month the teacher describes attendance, progress and goalsmonthly HR report

Forms of learning for a team

We choose the form of learning to match the number of people, their level and their goal – in one company we often combine several.

  • Groups of up to 6 people – employees at a similar level, with shared vocabulary for the job.
  • Individual lessons – for a foreman, a shift manager or a specialist who needs Polish faster or in a different scope than the rest of the team.
  • Language onboarding – a study plan for the first 90 days of a new person's work – see how language onboarding works.
  • Business Polish – meetings, emails and presentations for office staff and service centres.

Language of explanations: teachers explain grammar in Polish, English, Russian or Spanish. With each level, more and more of the class is conducted entirely in Polish.

A programme tailored to the industry

The course programme is based on the vocabulary and situations of a specific industry, not on textbook dialogues set in a café. A warehouse worker learns locations and quantities, a machine operator – how to report a breakdown, a driver – how to talk during loading. We have collected examples for six industries in our overview of vocabulary by industry, and you will find ready-made programmes among our Polish at work courses.

Getting started in four steps

Getting started takes four steps – the company does not need to install anything.

  1. Enquiry – send the form below and briefly describe the team: the number of people, job roles, shift system.
  2. Conversation about goals – we establish what the employees are meant to learn and at what times they can study.
  3. Audit – employees take a test, and you receive a summary and a proposal for groups.
  4. Start of lessons – we set the date of the first classes after the audit, to fit the team's schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Do employees in one company have to be at the same Polish level?

No. After the audit we divide the team into groups by level, and people who stand out from the rest can study individually.

Can employees from different countries study in one group?

Yes. The teacher explains in a language the group understands (Polish, English, Russian or Spanish) and, as the group progresses, conducts the classes more and more often in Polish only.

Can a company course prepare an employee for the B1 exam?

Yes. An employee who needs a B1 certificate, for example for an EU long-term resident permit, can move to the B1 exam preparation programme.

How quickly can a team start learning?

We set the start date after the level audit, when we know the number of groups and the shift schedule. We do not run enrolment for groups with a date fixed in advance.
