Intensive Polish course online – when you have an important deadline

In short

The intensive course is several individual lessons a week instead of one or two – for people who have a specific deadline: an exam, starting a new job, a move to Poland or a conversation at an office. It takes place online via Google Meet, so you do not have to travel to a course or take time off for commuting. We set the plan and the number of lessons per week after the trial lesson, so that the pace is fast but sustainable.

When to choose the intensive mode

The intensive course is for people who have little time and a lot of motivation – and who can also devote the time between lessons to study. Typical situations: in a few months you are moving to Poland and want to arrive with the basics; you are starting work in a Polish team; you have a free month and want to use it for a big leap. If you are preparing for an exam and are already close to B1, the B1 sprint may be a simpler choice.

How many lessons a week make sense

Most often 3–5 lessons a week work well. More rarely speeds up learning, because the brain needs time to consolidate new words and forms – and without revision between lessons an intensive course turns into quick forgetting.

A sample pace of the intensive course

4people with a flexible scheduleabout 30–45 minutes a day
5people who have time only for studyabout 45–60 minutes a day

What a week of the course looks like

Each lesson lasts 50 minutes and has a different goal, so that the week does not consist of five identical classes. Explanations are in Polish, English, Russian or Spanish.

A sample week – level A2, before starting work in Poland:

  • Monday – new grammar: the past tense (pracowałem, pracowałam, pracowaliśmy).
  • Tuesday – work vocabulary and a conversation with a “supervisor”: O której zaczynam zmianę?
  • Wednesday – listening and understanding instructions: Proszę to odłożyć na miejsce.
  • Thursday – writing short messages: Dzień dobry, jestem chory i dziś nie przyjdę do pracy.
  • Friday – a revision of the week and free conversation.

How to revise between lessons

With several lessons a week, revision is just as important as the lesson itself. Short daily portions work best instead of one long session at the weekend:

  • 10 minutes in the morning – words from the previous lesson, preferably in sentences, not in an isolated list: not just zmiana, but Jutro mam zmianę od szóstej.
  • One written task – a few sentences that you send to the teacher or bring to the lesson.
  • Background listening – Polish radio or a podcast on your way to work, even if you understand little.

The intensive course plan

  1. A trial lesson with a diagnosis – your level, deadline, goal and the real number of hours per week.
  2. A plan by weeks – what is to be mastered in which week and how we will check it.
  3. Lessons according to the plan with a short daily task.
  4. A check every few weeks – whether the pace is right or whether we need to slow down or speed up.
  5. Moving to a normal rhythm – after you reach your goal you can continue in private lessons or in a group.

Good to know: we do not promise a level “in 30 days”. The pace depends on your starting point, your mother tongue and the time you have for revision. You get a realistic forecast after the trial lesson, and you will find approximate ranges in our guide to study time for B1.

What the intensive course includes

  • Several individual lessons a week according to a plan built around your deadline.
  • Short daily tasks and materials online.
  • Questions to the teacher via WhatsApp – at an intensive pace this is especially important.
  • A monthly progress report.

Plan your study around your deadline

Book a trial lesson and tell us by when you want to reach your goal – we will draw up a plan for the coming weeks. If it is an exam, also check the B1 course – we can combine the intensive mode with its programme.

Frequently asked questions

Is the intensive course also available in a group?

We run the intensive course mainly one-to-one, because the pace and schedule have to be adjusted to one person. If several people have the same goal and deadline – for example a team at a company – an intensive group programme can be arranged.

Can I change the number of lessons during the course?

Yes. If the pace is too fast or too slow, we change the plan – it is better to slow down than to stop learning.

Is the intensive course suitable for someone starting from zero?

Yes, but at the start it is better to choose 3 lessons a week – new sounds and forms need time to settle.
